Leicester Judo Club

 

This, still highly popular martial art and Olympic Sport is the Japanese form of wrestling with its roots in jiu jitsu, and is still practiced at our dojo (training hall) every week. A great fitness activity and a great way to develop strength as well as an effective self defense art form.

All are welcome to attend, classes are for children aged 7 years and upwards.

The Judo club is recognized by the Sports Council. 

£3.00 per lesson

This martial art which utilizes your opponents body weight against you in the form of throws, arm-locks and wrist-locks is a "free-flowing" effective martial art.

All levels of experience from beginner to advanced are catered for and we have two senior instructors:

All our instructors are fully qualified with their respective organizations and have full professional indemnity insurance, first aid certificates, CRB checked and membership insurance.

Judo was first established at our club in 1947 and Aikido in 1965 making us the oldest, established Martial Arts club in the United Kingdom.
